Our staff are not only trained and experienced in supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, but they also bring warmth, patience and empathy to every interaction.

Robert Shobbrook

Managing Director

Hi, I’m Rob. I am the managing director of Albany Care Group. I have been building Albany Care for the last 12 years along with a fantastic group of individuals. I am passionate about the care we provide and am grateful to work with such a dedicated team who share my vision. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, walking, football and cycling.

Sarah Chaplin

Group Finance Manager

I’m Sarah and I started working for Albany Care Group in 2018 as an assistant to the Finance Director. Over the years I have also worked in HR and Finance until I took over the role of Group Finance Manager in 2022. My role is to report to the Managing Director with everything finance related and ensure the smooth and cost-effective running of all our homes. I also work very closely with Kayleigh, overseeing HR and Compliance. I am a mum of two children; my daughter works for a design company in Cambridge as Design Engineer after achieving a first-class honours degree in Integrated Design Engineering and my son is a second-year student studying Computer Science and AI at the University of Bath.

Hayley Coull

Area Care Manager

Hello, I am Hayley, I am the Area Care Manager. I have always worked in the care industry, and I love it. I get to visit all homes regularly, which I enjoy as I get to see all residents and staff having fun together and doing exciting things. When I am not at work, I love getting outside for adventures and playing with animals.

Kayleigh Harris

HR and Compliance Manager

I’m Kayleigh and I am the HR and Compliance Manager here for The Albany Care Group. My role is to oversee all homes for Recruitment, HR, and Compliance. I have been with Albany since 2019 and have over 12 years’ experience in similar roles. My favourite part of my role is seeing new staff develop over their time here. I am a Mum of one and when I’m not busy at Albany, I am my busy running around with my son.

Sarah Philpott

Registered Manager

Hi, I’m Sarah. I am the Home Manager at Ellerslie House and have been working for Albany since May 2024. I have worked in care for 10 years, and 9 of these years has been working with Adults with Learning Disabilities. One of my favourite things about Albany is just how welcoming everyone is across the whole company.

Liz Hobbs

Home Manager

Hello, I’m Liz, and I’m delighted to have recently joined Albany Care Group as the Home Manager at Holt Farm in Oxfordshire.With over 25 years of experience in health and social care, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to my role. My aim is to ensure that every resident at Holt Farm enjoys a happy, fulfilling, and enriching life, where they feel valued, supported, and truly at home. Outside of work, I have a wonderful family, including my two grown-up children who have made me a very proud Nanna. We love spending time together and making special memories through fun family days out. I also have a small dog called Iris, who is a much-loved part of my life and enjoys joining me on long walks. In my spare time, I love cooking, being outdoors, and catching up with friends over a delicious meal. 

I look forward to getting to know our residents, their families, and the team, and to being part of the Holt Farm community.

Charlie Kane

Registered Manager

I am Charlie and I am the Registered Manager at Albany Farm House. I have been with Albany Care Group as a Registered Manager since 2019. I have been working in the health and social care / special educational needs industry for over 30 years. When I’m not busy at Albany I enjoy a very active outdoor lifestyle looking after my two horses.

Louise Real

Registered Manager

Hi, I’m Louise, Registered Manager at Spinney Hill. I have been with Albany for just over five years. I started as a Support Worker and have progressed my way up. I have worked in the Health and Social sector for 35 years on and off, as I’m also a qualified Hairdresser. I love working with our service users and enjoy watching them become more independent. In between working I’m a busy mum of 6 (one stepdaughter). My days are never ending but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Steve Shobbrook

Maintenance Manager

Steve is Albany Care Groups in house ‘Superhero’ who is responsible for the maintenance across all four homes. Steve has been with Albany since its opening in 2016 and when not working at Albany is working out at the gym.
