Spinneys very own musical superstar! 13/02/2024

One of our very talented residents at Spinney Hill has been fundraising for a charity close to his heart over the last few months, selling his classical piano CDs to raise money for the National Autistic Society. Not only does he perform classical piano, he then records this and creates albums for sale. What a wonderful and kind thing to do, we at Albany are all very proud.

Ellerslie achieves a 5 star rating on Food Hygiene! 13/01/2024

The environmental health team came to visit Ellerslie this month and after inspection we received 5 out of 5. Well done to all at the home for the high standards you maintain.

Well Done to Spinneys Louise! 15/10/2023

We would like to say well done and congratulations to Louise this month who has now successfully become registered with the CQC as Spinney Hills Manager and finally has ‘her name above the door’. Louise has done an exceptional job managing Spinney over the last 11 months, so its great to see this final part has been completed. We cant wait to see what the future holds for Louise, all the Spinney staff and those we support.

New Manager joins Ellerslie House 30/09/2023

We would like to say a huge welcome to Ian, who has joined Ellerslie House as the new Home Manager. Ian has come to us with a wealth of experience in care and people management. Ellerslie House is a very complex home with many challenges and we cannot wait to see what the future holds. All of us at Albany Care are very pleased to have him on board and we cannot wait to see what mark Ian has on the home.

Spinneys Shelbys Charity Appeal 27/07/2023

We would like to congratulate Shelby, one of our Spinney Hill Support Workers for qualifying for the London Marathon next April. She will be running to raise money for the National Autistic Society. Shelby has targeted herself to raise £2000 and is currently coming up with all kinds of fundraising ideas. Management Changes at Ellerslie House 31/05/2023

CQC visited Ellerslie House earlier this month to monitor our progress. They were so pleased with our development. Reporting that they had noticed such a huge improvement to our service. Well done to Emma, Sian and all the staff for your motivation, passion, and enthusiasm to make significant changes for the best! To continue our progression with CQC, we have had a reshuffle of management. Charlie will remain as our Registered Manager, overseeing both Ellerslie and Albany. Emma as
our Assistant Manager and Sian as our Deputy Manager. Keep up the great work Ellerslie!

Spinneys New Manager 01/05/2023

Louise is now our full time Manager of Spinney Hill where she has already made a positive impact in her new role. Residents and staff have reported how well Louise has settled into the post and are excited by what the future holds. We would like to thank Andy for his support during the first few months transitioning from our previous Managers and Emilia who remains as the Deputy Manager for her drive to get things done.

5* Hygiene at Albany Farm 28/03/2023

Huge well done to Albany Farm this month. They achieved Grade 5 in their recent Food Hygiene Inspection from Fareham Borough Council. Charlie and Jeanette would like to thank all staff at Albany for being part of achieving this – maintaining the daily
standards and keeping on top of the record keeping required to achieve this!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the Albany Care Group 30/12/2022

We at Albany have been busy over the last few weeks celebrating the holiday period. Ellerslie House had fun at the Panto, followed a few weeks later with a Christmas party in the home. Holt Farm went for a lovely meal with all staff and service users. Albany held a Christmas jumper day and Spinney Hill have been joining in with the festivities too. We at the Albany Care Group hope you all had a fantastic Christmas, and we wish you all the best for 2023!

Spinney Hill gets garden ‘Glow Up!’ 04/07/2022

The staff and residents at Spinney Hill House, Northampton have been working tirelessly to give their garden the makeover it deserves. New flower beds have been put in and an array of colourful flower planted. The space has been brightened up for all to enjoy.

Albany Care celebrates the Platinum Jubilee 06/06/2022

Albany Care joined the rest of the country in celebrating the Queens Platinum Jubilee over the weekend. Each home held a Jubilee Party which included tea, cake and a buffet as well as decorations throughout.

Albany seeks a ‘Green Ambassador’ 01/06/2022

With the ever changing climate and a responsibility placed on all to become that bit ‘Greener’ Albany Care have rolled out our Green Ambassador initiative. Each home will appoint a member of staff who will champion environmentally friendly tasks throughout the home. Whether this being ensuring all waste is disposed / recycled correctly to also minimising the use of electricals to stop the waste fo energy.

Albany Care welcomes Hayley Coull, Area Care Manager 09/05/2022

Today we welcome Hayley Coull to the Albany Care Group as our new Area Care Manager. Hayley comes to us with a wealth of experience in Social Care and is looking forward to getting stuck into the fabric of Albany Care. Hayley will be responsible for overseeing all four homes Albany Farm, Ellerslie House, Holt Farm and Spinney Hill.

Albany Farm has a revamp 12/04/2022

Steve and Neal our Maintenance Machines have been working hard to revamp Albany Farm as of late. A new medication room, laundry room and donning and doffing area have all been installed into the home as well as fresh paint throughout the home.

Spinney Hill hits the headlines 14/01/2022

This month has seen huge success at Spinney Hill! Not only did Michelle, Adam and all the team achieve an Outstanding rating for their CQC inspection they were also featured in the local Northampton newspaper celebrating this! Well done to all, through all your hardwork you have ensured that the service users are receiving the very highest standard of care, and you should all be very proud.

Ellerslie goes to Panto! 24/12/2021

Emma and the team at Ellerslie had a fantastic time today taking all the Service Users on a trip to the panto! The group were thrilled to see a performance of Jack and the Beanstalk at Kings Theatre Southsea.
